PEMANFAATAN EDUTAINMENT SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ALTERNATIF PADA RUMAH BELAJAR CERIA DESA PEDADO

Abstrak

Ceria Learning House (Rumah Belajar Ceria/RBC) is a non-profit educational organization created by people who believe in the value of education. RBC was formed in 2014 by seven young people. RBC is located on Jl. H. Sarkowi. B, Keramasan, Kertapati, Palembang, South Sumatra. RBC presently has around 150 pupils ranging in age from primary school to junior high school. The activities are in the form of non-formal learning activities offered to students once a week by tutors using cooperative approaches, such as arranging students according to their educational level. RBC instructors, on the other hand, utilize traditional learning media. Of course, this is out of step with technology advancements and results in less interaction between instructors and pupils. The notion of mixing learning with enjoyment is known as edutainment. Edutainment may be a pleasant and engaging alternative to traditional learning material. As a result, the implementation team gives guidance and hands-on demonstrations of how edutainment may be used in the learning and teaching process. According to the analysis findings acquired through the pretest and posttest, students' knowledge improved after completing the learning process with edutainment media. Only 14.28 percent of 42 students could correctly answer 10 questions at first, and 16.67 percent still couldn't answer one, but after the exercise, 23.81 percent of 42 students could correctly answer 10 questions. There are no longer any kids that are unable to answer all of the questions.
