Abstrak

Waste from disposable diapers takes hundreds of years to break down and causes pollution to the environment when thrown into landfills or rivers. Thus, there is a need for advancements in the handling of disposable diaper waste and raising public awareness on proper waste disposal. The aim of this community service is to offer guidance and training to the members of Pimpinan Cabang Aisyiyah (PCA) Gamping in Yogyakarta on transforming disposable diaper waste into a planting medium. 15 participants, including board members and local community leaders, attended the event. The outcome of this community service was an improvement in the participants' understanding and skills in converting disposable diaper waste into planting media. It is hoped that this initiative will help decrease the environmental pollution caused by disposable diapers.
