The purpose of the 2022 Applied Community Service Program (PKM) in Gandus District-Palembang is to create modern agriculture through the use of agrivoltaic system. This system combines an agricultural technology system with the application of solar cells as an energy source. Partners still use PLN prepaid electricity for activities at home and on the farm, this is felt to be burdensome for partner farmers in terms of the cost of charging tokens / pulses which are quite expensive, one of which is due to the operation of pumps for watering the land. For this reason, it is necessary to create an electrical system that utilizes solar energy into an energy source for lighting at home and electrical equipment so that it can save large electricity costs. In this activity, an automatic plant watering system based on solar energy was also developed and distributed directly to farmers through socialization in the form of lectures and demonstrations or practice of making (assembling yourself) and maintaining solar cell modules. Farmers highly appreciate this activity and hope that it can be continued with other applications of solar energy to make their agriculture more advanced.
