Review Process

Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Holistics Journal undergo a transparent double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality and integrity.

  1. Initial Screening
Upon submission, each manuscript is reviewed by the Editorial Team to assess its relevance to the journal’s scope, adherence to author guidelines, and compliance with ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or declined without review.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts are sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. In the double-blind process, both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed to maintain objectivity. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
  • Originality and significance of the contribution
  • Clarity and coherence of presentation
  • Methodological soundness and accuracy of analysis
  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Adherence to academic and ethical standards

The peer review process typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the availability of the reviewers.

  1. Review Outcomes
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision will be one of the following:
  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
  • Reject
  1. Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are required, authors are expected to address all reviewer comments and provide a response letter explaining how each comment has been addressed. Revised manuscripts will be re-evaluated by the editorial team and, if necessary, by the reviewers.
  2. Final Decision and Publication
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance. Accepted manuscripts are copyedited, proofread, and prepared for publication in the next scheduled issue.

Holistics Journal is committed to a fair, constructive, and timely review process, with the goal of fostering scholarly excellence and contributing to the advancement of hospitality, linguistics, and literature research.
