Focus and Scope
Holistics Journal is a peer-reviewed academic publication issued twice annually in June and December in the areas of hospitality, linguistics, and literature. First published in 2009, the journal has continued to serve as a reputable scholarly forum for researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to share innovative ideas, research findings, and critical perspectives within these disciplines.
Founded and managed by the Language and Tourism Department, Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, Palembang, Indonesia, Holistics Journal is committed to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue that bridges the gap between theory and practice. The journal actively promotes academic rigor, methodological innovation, and the integration of local and global perspectives.
The scope of the journal encompasses, but is not limited to:
- Hospitality: tourism and hotel management, service quality, customer experience, destination development, sustainable tourism, hospitality training, and industry best practices.
- Linguistics: applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse analysis, language acquisition, language policy, translation studies, and corpus linguistics.
- Literature: literary criticism, comparative literature, cultural studies, creative writing, and literature in language education.
As an open-access journal, Holistics Journal provides free and immediate access to its content, enabling the widest possible dissemination of knowledge to scholars, professionals, and the public. The editorial team encourages contributions that reflect diverse perspectives and contexts, including work that highlights regional insights with global relevance.
