Abstract

A computer network is a collection of computers that are connected to each other through intermediary media such as switches, routers, wireless, cables and so on, so that each computer can connect and exchange data, information and share hardware. In the world of education, many universities have implemented online learning systems, which use computer networks, so they really need good computer network conditions and have fast, stable and safe access speeds from various forms of hacker attacks, or viruses found on the internet. The STKIP Nurul Huda School of Teacher Training and Education has a computer network structure that is not well structured, such as in the design of computer network topologies and good computer network management, as well as computer network security systems. Therefore, it is necessary to design a network that has good quality. . so that it can work optimally and optimally. To fit the expected needs, with the Top Down Network Design method, namely designing computer networks from the top layer to the bottom layer on the OSI open system interconnection, with this method it is expected to produce a good computer network structure and can use all the activities of educators , students and employees of TU (administration) at the College of Teacher Training and Education STKIP Nurul Huda
