Abstract

Plastics are polymer compounds whose main constituent elements are carbon and hydrogen. To make plastics, one of the most commonly used raw materials is naphtha, which is a material produced from refining petroleum or natural gas. Plastic waste generated from household waste in the Bukit Baru village can be around ± 100 kg per day if collected collectively from the number of family heads in the Bukit Baru neighborhood. Therefore, the extension worker wishes to provide a method of utilizing plastic waste as a raw material for making alternative fuel biodiesel. In an effort to obtain alternative energy for the community and develop the community's economy and in an effort to create a clean, healthy and efficient environment and as a source of increasing family welfare. From the results of counseling on processing plastic waste into diesel fuel in Bukit Baru Village, it can be seen that the urban village community is very enthusiastic about the implementation of this activity and can conclude that the method of overcoming plastic waste that is an environmental problem can be managed by converting and using the waste into fuel. , so that this activity becomes an insight into environmental treatment of plastic waste, and even
