PELATIHAN SISTEM E-LEARNING MENGGUNAKAN EDMODO PADA GURU SMP NEGERI 3 PALEMBANG

Abstract

The purpose of implementing the community service program with scheme of lecturer-student cooperation is to provide knowledge and comprehension to teachers of public junior high school 3 Palembang about how to use Edmodo e-learning system. It can be used to support the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in accordance with one of the missions of the school. The method of implementing the program adopting action research steps that consisted of several stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. At the implementation stage, it is carried out the training on Edmodo’s features such as creating accounts, creating classes, uploading material, and making assessments. The reflection stage are carried out by giving pre and post-training questionnaires to the teachers to find out the understanding level of the participants and as an input for the future improvement. The time to carry out the community service activity is approximately 6 months. Based on the results of the questionnaire's recapitulation on August 15th, 2019, it is obtained that 73.24% of 17 respondents answered the knowledge/techniques mastered by participants after Edmodo's training, and as much as 88.24% participants stated that the contents and guidance methods, as well as the training design were satisfying.
